WIPB-TV, in partnership with the Department of Telecommunications, the Office of Immersive Learning, and the College of Communication, Information, and Media, proudly offers funding for students to produce original programming (short films and documentaries) for broadcast on WIPB-TV. Interested College of Communication, Information, and Media students can apply (application below) for up to $3,000 in funding to produce original work for the station. Students with quality applications that meet a level of excellence will be invited to pitch their story concepts to a committee. If selected, students will enroll in an immersive learning course for an entire semester to complete their work. The committee will greenlight anywhere from zero to five projects each academic year, based on the quality of applicants, available funding, the amount of funding requested, and programming appropriateness (i.e. the projects fit within the scope of WIPB’s programming).
If you have specific questions regarding the application process, review committee, or Cardinal Cinema in general, please contact the project director, Chris Flook at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
